The 6th International Conference on Biomedicine and Bioinformatics Engineering (ICBBE 2026) was successfully held in Nanchang in 2026!!


From April 17 to 19, 2026, the 2026 International Conference on Biomedicine and Bioinformatics Engineering (ICBBE 2026) concluded successfully in Nanchang Institute of Technology. Held in a hybrid online-offline format, the conference brought together leading experts, renowned scholars, and industry elites from around the world in the fields of biomedicine, bioinformatics engineering, and intelligent healthcare. It provided a high-level, interdisciplinary, and international academic exchange platform, promoting the sharing of cutting-edge research achievements and the deep integration of industry, academia, and research.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor MingChen from Zhejiang University. Representing the host institution, Professor HongjiYuan, Vice President of Nanchang Institute of Technology, delivered the opening remarks, extending a warm welcome to all guests attending the conference and introducing the university’s achievements in the development of biomedicine and translational medicine, as well as its future development plans. Subsequently, Academician XianzhuXia of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, China, took the stage to deliver a congratulatory speech, expressing his best wishes for the success of the conference and sharing insightful remarks on the development trends of the relevant academic fields. Professor Junhua Ye, Dean of the School of Medicine at Nanchang Institute of Technology, also gave a comprehensive introduction to the current status and achievements of the school’s medical education and development.

At the end of the opening ceremony, a grand unveiling ceremony was held for the Translational Medicine Research Institute of Nanchang Institute of Technology. This marked a crucial step forward for the university in the translation and application of medical research achievements and in the establishment of innovative research platforms, carrying great significance.

The conference invited six authoritative experts from China and abroad to deliver keynote speeches on cutting-edge topics, including vaccine development, AI-driven multi-omics integration, intelligent medical engineering, nanodelivery-based immunotherapy, scintillator detector imaging, and automatic EEG signal detection.


Academician XianzhuXia of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, China, presented his research on rabies biologics and their applications in prevention and control. Professor Ram Bilas Pachori, IEEE Fellow from the Indian Institute of Technology, delivered a talk on automatic EEG signal detection techniques for medical applications. Professor Ming Chen from Zhejiang University discussed AI-driven multi-omics integration and bioinformatics engineering for chronic diseases. Professor BinLiu from Dalian University of Technology shared clinical engineering case studies based on intelligent image processing. Dr. Zhengju Chen, Director of the Translational Medicine Research Institute of Nanchang Institute of Technology and CEO of Beijing Baiti Biotechnology Co., Ltd., introduced research on nanodelivery-mediated in vivo immune cell engineering therapy and its translational applications. Professor ZhenzhouDeng from Huazhong University of Science and Technology explained the innovative applications of scintillator detectors in biomedical imaging.

To foster the growth of young scholars and stimulate academic exchange, the conference featured poster presentations and oral presentation sessions. A total of 16 scholars from universities, research institutes, and enterprises at home and abroad, including Northeast Normal University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Guangxi University, Fujian Normal University, and Beihang University, shared their research in turn. Their work covered a range of hot topics, such as tumor pharmacology, single-cell sequencing, antibacterial materials, multiphoton microscopy image processing, knowledge graphs, biomechanics, nanodrug delivery, intelligent diabetes detection, and biomechanical prediction for spinal orthopedics. These presentations combined theoretical innovation with clinical translational value, fully demonstrating the vitality and diverse application scenarios of biomedicine and biomedical informatics engineering.

Throughout the conference, the atmosphere remained highly academic. Participants actively discussed and exchanged ideas based on the presentations, effectively promoting cross-disciplinary, cross-regional academic collaboration and technological synergy. At the closing ceremony, an awards session was held to recognize outstanding papers, oral presentations, and posters, encouraging young researchers to continue innovating and strive for excellence.
